New Board Members Bring Their Expertise to CATCH Neighborhood Housing

Concord, New Hampshire…This year, CATCH Neighborhood Housing welcomed three new members to its board of directors. At CATCH’s annual meeting, the board approved the addition of Andrew Luce, Shareholder and Director with Mason + Rich, PA, CPA; Kristin O’Brien, Director of Fund Development & Community Relations with Taylor Community; and Tim Sink, President and CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce. The addition of these board members further strengthens CATCH’s commitment to building a governing board that represents the needs and interests of the greater community.

Andrew Luce is a shareholder and director with Mason + Rich, PA, CPAs in Concord, New Hampshire, where he has spent the last nineteen years using his outstanding CPA skills to support individuals, businesses and non-profits throughout the region. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA), Luce frequently volunteers his time and expertise to give back to the community. For many years, he served on the board of Concord’s beloved Red River Theatre, the last two as Chair. Luce currently serves as treasurer of the board for the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, where he has also been a longtime ambassador, committee member, and board member.

When asked about his commitment to CATCH Neighborhood Housing, Luce said, “I’m excited to join the CATCH board to give back to the community by putting my skills and experience to work for a meaningful cause. I look forward to collaborating with other local leaders to make a positive impact and advance our shared mission.”

A long-time champion of affordable housing, Kristin O’Brien has seen firsthand the positive impact well-designed and constructed new housing can have on communities. O’Brien spent many years working on business development and marketing with the commercial and municipal construction company Bonnette, Page and Stone, where she used her communication skills, relationship building experience and community networking connections to help others see the big picture needs of areas working to attract residents, businesses, and services. More recently, O’Brien has taken on a similar role with Taylor Community, one of New Hampshire’s best-known nonprofit continuing-care retirement communities. In her spare time, O’Brien is a member of Gilford Rotary, the Society for Marketing Professionals (SMPS), and regularly volunteers in her community.

Whether it be school-aged kids, mid-life adults, or retirees, O’Brien knows that stable housing helps people of all ages thrive. "I am honored to be a member of the Board of Directors for CATCH. I’m excited to contribute to CATCH’S mission during a time when so many people and families are facing housing challenges. I look forward to supporting CATCH’s efforts to help ensure that more people have a safe place they can call home.”

In his longtime role as President and CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, Tim Sink knows better than most how responsible development positively impacts local communities. His deep knowledge of social and economic needs regularly brings him from conversations at the community center to the boardroom, the mayor’s office and the state house. Over the course of his tenure at the Chamber, Sink was instrumental in diversifying revenue streams, coordinating key business and political figures, bringing students and young professionals to the table, and creating the popular Leadership Greater Concord program, which encourages business professionals to become better, more effective leaders in their communities.  

Sink doesn’t shy away from the tough conversations about how we can make New Hampshire a better place for all residents and he understands that the safe and affordable housing CATCH provides sits at the intersection of economic stability and community health. He notes, “CATCH is a lifesaver to so many families in our community who otherwise would not be able to afford housing in the current market. Their properties are excellently maintained, and they serve their clients with respect and dignity.”

Founded in 1989, CATCH Neighborhood Housing has been a chartered member of NeighborWorks America since 1999. CATCH offers a full spectrum of housing and education services in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, and meets the needs of the communities it serves by constructing new affordable housing units and revitalizing existing housing in an area where affordable rental options are limited. Since 1989, CATCH has expanded its real estate portfolio to include more than 425 affordable workforce housing units in Concord, Penacook, Bow, and Franklin, New Hampshire. This innovative partnership organization serves the entirety of Merrimack, Hillsborough, Belknap, and Rockingham Counties, providing New Hampshire's residents access to first-time homebuyer education seminars as well as financial fitness courses and mortgage counseling.
