Alliance Asset Management, CATCH's property management company, is hiring a Compliance Specialist.
Position Summary:
The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that Alliance Asset Management properties and property management operations and procedures are in compliance with all pertinent laws, regulations and management policies. Person will be responsible and accountable for maintaining compliance at all properties with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC Section 42), HOME, HUD Section 8 and Rural Development Housing Programs (RD) sources of funding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work directly with the portfolio Property Manager to ensure properties meet their compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, LIHTC, HOME, Section 8 and RD Programs.
-Perform LIHTC, HOME and Market property lease-ups, first year-file and move-in file functions as needed, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
-Perform ongoing file audits to verify properties meet their compliance requirements.
-Report potential issues and identified related compliance training needs to the Regional Property Manager, the portfolio Property Manager, and the Director of Compliance, as appropriate.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements:
-Prior work experience in a multifamily environment preferred.
-Knowledge of LIHTC, and HUD programs with the ability to learn other affordable housing programs on an as-needed basis preferred
-Highly organized, with attention to detail.
-Excellent mathematical reasoning skills.
-Intermediate experience with MS Office, MS Outlook, and Internet Explorer, YARDI and experience with state reporting website.
-Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
