On Thursday, June 8, staff, residents, advocates and volunteers of CATCH Neighborhood Housing will gather at Gibson’s Bookstore and celebrate the community of Downtown Concord, as part of a week-long celebration of neighborhood revitalization activities nationally recognized as NeighborWorks Week.
During NeighborWorks Week (June 3-10), CATCH and other NeighborWorks organizations across the country will mobilize tens of thousands of residents, employees, supporters, and government officials in a week of neighborhood change and awareness, including painting and landscaping properties, recognizing successful partnerships and hosting a number of events that educate, train and inform. CATCH is partnering with Gibson’s to host the celebration of the downtown revitalization and the recent publishing of NeighborWorks Works: Practical Solutions from America’s Community Development Network. CATCH’s redevelopment of the historic Endicott Hotel is featured in the chapter on Nonprofit Excellence, and will be the focus of remarks by CATCH’s President, Rosemary M. Heard.
The event will run from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at 45 South Main Street in Concord. It is free and open to the public, and books will be available for purchase.
CATCH is part of the national NeighborWorks network, an affiliation of more than 240 nonprofit organizations located in every state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. In 2016, the NeighborWorks network helped 360,000 individuals and families with affordable housing and counseling. The NeighborWorks network was founded and is supported by NeighborWorks America, which creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities.
