CATCH Neighborhood Housing is pleased to announce that Thomas R. Furtado, CCIM of Warren, RI has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development.

Furtado brings a wealth of real estate knowledge to Concord-based CATCH, which has been developing affordable, workforce housing for over 25 years. There, he was responsible for all aspects of project development, financing, construction and property management.

Prior to Stonestreet, Furtado was the Surplus Property Manager of the Real Estate Division for CVS Pharmacy, Inc. He also has experience on the banking side of real estate, including several years in the Commercial Real Estate Division of Shawmut Bank in Boston.

Furtado is currently a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a licensed real estate salesperson in Massachusetts.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tom to CATCH,” stated Rosemary M. Heard, President of CATCH Neighborhood Housing. “Tom has proven expertise in financial, market and investment analysis, in addition to negotiation. The secret to our success at CATCH lies with our amazing staff, and I am confident that Tom will further strengthen our organization.”

Since starting at CATCH in late February, Furtado has already proved a great addition to the project team at its current development, the Franklin Light and Power Mill, where 45 one- and two-bedroom workforce housing apartments are currently being developed in the City of Franklin.
