CATCH Hosts Presidential Candidate to Encourage Housing as Campaign Priority

CATCH Neighborhood Housing was thrilled to host former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld on Wednesday, August 28 in collaboration with Housing Action NH as part of the Our Homes, Our Votes, Our New Hampshire campaign. Our Homes, Our Votes 2020 is a national non-partisan campaign to register, educate, and mobilize more low-income renters and affordable housing advocates to be involved with voting and to ensure low income housing interests are represented in presidential campaigns.

“We were pleased to have the opportunity to engage Governor Weld on the issue of affordable housing,” said Elissa Margolin, director of Housing Action NH. “It has never been so difficult to access an affordable home in NH. We need leadership at every level to address the affordable housing crisis.”

“It was an honor to host Governor Weld at the CATCH offices and introduce him to several of our residents,” said CATCH President, Rosemary M. Heard. “We had a great discussion about the importance of finding and creating homes that we each can afford, and we hope that he and the other presidential candidates make housing affordability a priority in their campaigns.”
