Today we are continuing our series of introducing you to CATCH staff! This time around, we're focusing on real estate development. Over CATCH's thirty year history, CATCH has developed 349 apartments with several developments currently in the planning stages!
CATCH’s Real Estate Team is comprised of Tom Furtado, Senior VP of Real Estate Development, and Caite Foley, VP of Real Estate Development and Asset Management.
Tom joined CATCH in April of 2017 and brings a wealth of real estate knowledge from his 15 years as the Vice President and Director of Development of Stonestreet Corporation, a full-service real estate development firm based in Rhode Island. There, he was responsible for all aspects of project development, financing, construction and property management. Tom is currently a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a licensed real estate salesperson in Massachusetts.
"When I came to CATCH I was looking for a job that sounded interesting and my wife and I wanted to move to New Hampshire," says Furtado. "Two years later, I've found this work to be interesting, for sure, but also gratifying. I really believe in the mission of CATCH, and our vision of creating communities where every person is confident of a home."
Caite joined the CATCH team in October 2010, and has helped create 130 new homes. Caite is involved in all aspects of housing development and rehabilitation at CATCH. Her specialty is in managing relationships with construction companies, being liaison to municipal services and project management. Before joining CATCH she was heavily involved in the hospitality industry.
"I thoroughly enjoy working with my peers every day and it's so rewarding to complete a development from start to finish," says Foley. "Before coming to CATCH I never knew how many parts of a community are affected by housing, and how many different community partners and stakeholders have to come together to make a development happen. I love being able to work in different communities and meet families who get to move in to the physical spaces we create!"
