CATCH Welcomes New Board Members


CATCH Neighborhood Housing is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its board of directors. At its April meeting, the board unanimously approved the addition of Byron Champlin, Jeff Feingold, Rusty Mosca, Beth Slepian, and Scoop Welch.

Byron Champlin is a Concord at-large city councilor. In 2018 he retired after 27 years in marketing communications, community relations, and corporate philanthropy for Lincoln Financial Group in NH. In his capacity as a city councilor, Champlin is a member of the city’s Planning Board, Community Development Advisory Committee, Fiscal Policy Advisory Committee and Ad Hoc Parking Committee, which he chairs. He is the City Council representative on Concord’s Steering Committee on the Plan to End Homelessness. Throughout the City of Concord, he is highly engaged at many levels, including his work with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, their Creative Concord Committee, the Capitol Center for the Arts, and the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance, among many other organizations.

Jeff Feingold has been a journalist for over 40 years and is currently editor of New Hampshire Business Review. In 2003 he was honored as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Journalist of the Year. He has also worked as a freelance writer whose work has appeared in state, regional and national publications, including The New York Times and The Nation. He has been a member of the board of directors of the NH Women’s Foundation since 2016.

Oreste (Rusty) Mosca is Managing Director of Nathan Wechsler & Company. Rusty joined Nathan Wechsler & Company in 1987, and his specializations within the company include

construction, nonprofits, audits, and accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is highly engaged in the community. His current community involvement includes board member and treasurer for the Associated Builders and Contractors of NH/VT, board member of the Associated General Contractors of NH, treasurer and board trustee for the Capitol Center for the Arts, Merrimack County Campaign Cabinet Chair for the Granite United Way, board member for New Hampshire Humanities, and Leadership New Hampshire vice-chair and board trustee.

Beth Slepian, MBA, PT, is President and CEO of Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of CRVNA. She shapes a strategic plan that

directs and transforms home care, hospice, personal home services, and community health for patients, caregivers, and the communities we serve. Previously as Vice President of Education and Clinical Compliance, Slepian led the development and implementation of many quality initiatives and improvements including the transitional care nursing program for patients with complex care needs and the behavioral health program for home care patients with mental health needs. She is active in the community and serves on the NH Stroke Collaborative, NH Falls Risk Task Force, Havenwood Heritage Heights' Board of Directors, and the Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care Alliance of NH Board of Directors. Slepian is also a member of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Scoop Welch is the Vice President of Regional Operations at Granite United Way, the collaborative merger of six separate United Ways with over 22,000 donors and volunteers. This United Way serves 80% of New Hampshire and a large part of Vermont and raises $8.8 million to serve these communities. In her role, she oversees area directors and managers throughout Granite United Way and is the lead in the Central Region. She works closely with volunteers and partners to strengthen local efforts. Prior to joining the United Way in 2009, she had a successful corporate sales career while living in San Francisco, CA and Newport, RI. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Concord and has served on the board of the Sandwich Children’s Center and Sandwich Home Industries.
