CATCH Celebrates Community During NeighborWorks Week 2018

June 20, 2018

On Tuesday, June 12 staff, volunteers, and over 200 business leaders gathered at CATCH Neighborhood Housing’s new offices at 105 Loudon Road to celebrate Concord’s longtime support of CATCH and the important role that housing plays in our lives and our vibrant community. CATCH partnered with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce to host their monthly Business After Hours networking event for members.

This celebration also served as CATCH’s participation in NeighborWorks Week, a week-long celebration of neighborhood revitalization activities nationally recognized and coordinated by NeighborWorks America.

Throughout the week, CATCH and the 240+ NeighborWorks-affiliated organizations across the country mobilized tens of thousands of residents, employees, supporters, and government officials in an effort of change and awareness to recognize successful partnerships and host events that educate, train, and inform. Several regional leaders from NeighborWorks America were in attendance at CATCH’s Business After Hours, as well as other New Hampshire NeighborWorks affiliates AHEAD, NeighborWorks of Southern New Hampshire, and the Lakes Regional Community Developers.

“We were so pleased to welcome these business leaders and NeighborWorks representatives into our new space, which now has the capacity to host more than 200 people for events,” said CATCH President, Rosemary M. Heard. “In the past, our offices have been inadequate for our needs and our desire to welcomethe Concord community into our home. We are so grateful for Milestone Engineering and SMP Architecture who have turned this building into a functional, beautiful dream office. We are also grateful for the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce for such a wonderful opportunity to introduce many neighbors and friends to the important work we do to develop safe, affordable, workforce housing, and share the message about the importance of NeighborWorks America and how we all make a different on the local level.”

The NeighborWorks network was founded and is supported by NeighborWorks America, which creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities.
