Resident Programs at CATCH Neighborhood Housing work
in partnership with CATCH’s Asset Management Department and
the Home Buyer Education Center to promote safe living environments,
encourage the growth of community connections and support personal
empowerment, individual responsibility, autonomy and dignity. CATCH
residents who are involved in neighborhood activities and who are
well-connected to the larger community in which they live help
build successful CATCH communities. Resident Programs at CATCH
include:
|
• Resident
Services Coordination
(RSC) supports CATCH
residents and their families by informing them of available community
resources, providing individual assistance in obtaining the resources
they choose to use and advocating for residents as necessary
and appropriate. RSC works in partnership with CATCH’s
Asset Management team to support residents’ self-sufficiency,
responsibility and independence, and to administer the Property
Enhancement Fund (PEF). In partnership with CATCH’s Home
Buyer Education Center, RSC supports residents’ efforts
to attain financial stability and build personal assets through
the REAP and IDA programs described below.
|
• The
Resident Empowerment and Assistance Program (REAP) is a
program developed by CATCH residents for CATCH residents.
REAP is a grant program designed to provide one-time assistance
to residents who are having difficulties making ends meet.
In partnership with CATCH’s Home Buyer Education
Center, REAP also provides residents with:
o Financial fitness training,
o Individual financial and credit counseling,
o Home buyer education,
o Linkages to community-based resources,
o Support for developing creative, individualized solutions
that increase financial stability and build personal assets.
