“CATCH is a rare organization that just keeps getting better as it adapts to what the unmet community housing needs demand. The housing needs provide a real and ongoing challenge but thankfully people and businesses look to CATCH as the vehicle that can take action so that our community is better housed. As we rise to this challenge, let us celebrate the first 20 years!”
- John Hamilton, Founding Executive Director of CATCH
“The 20th anniversary of the founding of CATCH is a timely reminder of the commitment the organization has made to ensuring access to safe and affordable housing in the Granite State. This is a significant challenge, but CATCH has clearly shown they have the expertise and capacity needed to make this goal a reality. The more than 200 housing units they have built are not just places to live, they are warm and welcoming homes for seniors, families and individuals in need, and are a testament to the great work CATCH and its supporters are doing. I am pleased to recognize this important milestone and wish them continued success.”
- U.S. Senator Judd Gregg
"CATCH has accomplished much over 20 years of providing affordable rental housing and homeownership opportunities for local families and individuals, and the community has greatly benefited from their efforts. I wish them the best for their continued good work in the community."
-NH Governor John Lynch
"CATCH Neighborhood Housing has always been remarkable for the breadth of community support that it has enjoyed, virtually since its inception. Nothing better illustrates this than the number and variety of gifted people who have chosen to take responsibility for CATCH’s leadership. Community-based housing nonprofits rely on strong and engaged boards of directors to deliver on the ambitious missions they have set for themselves. CATCH’s accomplishments over the past 20 years confirm how well-deserved CATCH’s reputation is for attracting to its board capable people who are passionate about affordable housing."
-Juliana Eades, President, NH Community Loan Fund
"CATCH’s outstanding reputation rests on a broad foundation. This reputation begins with CATCH’s ability to mobilize and then bring out the best in hundreds of volunteers and supporters during the last twenty years. It is also the legacy of the able and committed Executive Directors CATCH has attracted, each of whom has in his/her own way been instrumental to CATCH’s growth, to its acceptance in the community and to its extraordinary success in achieving the mission it set for itself twenty years ago. Although none of this appears on its balance sheet, the people who are CATCH have always been its most valuable asset."
-Michael LaFontaine, Director, Community Housing Program, NH Community Loan Fund
"I am proud to have been part of the creation and success of CATCH. I still remember the meeting when John Hamilton (founding Executive Director of CATCH) and Bruce Friedman (Founding Board Member of CATCH and namesake of Friedman Court I & II) came up with the name. I was new to Concord at the time, and it was a wonderful way for me to learn about the community. The issues presented by CATCH's developments were unique, so not only could I feel good about my contribution to the community, but got involved in some intriguing and novel legal issues. I stayed in touch with many of my fellow board members over the years and have enjoyed knowing them. One of my proudest moments was when I was driving by the Eastside Avenue development on the way to the boys' karate class when they were young, and one of them remarked to his friend, 'My mommy helped build those houses.'"
